A mother and daughter visited us from Germany for our kimono experience.
Dress Up
Wearing a heavy kimono for the first time is also part of the experience.
Shooting
The 15‑year‑old daughter looked remarkably elegant and mature in her colorful uchikake.
We captured solo portraits of each of them as well as lovely shots together.
While her cool, composed expressions were stunning, the moments when she couldn’t help but burst into laughter reminded us that she’s still just 15—and those candid smiles were absolutely adorable.
Selection

Storefront Location Photo
Gion Shirakawa, one of Kyoto’s most popular photo spots, is located right in front of our studio.
Step outside and you’ll instantly find yourself surrounded by a photogenic, picturesque street scene.
Because of Gion’s local rules, all outdoor shooting must be finished by noon—so an early start is essential. Please make sure to arrive by 10 a.m. You’ll get a completely different atmosphere from studio photos, making the outdoor shots a wonderful addition to your session.
Folio (mini album)
At the end of your photo session, you’ll receive a mini album (folio) to take home as a souvenir of your trip. The fully edited digital photos will be delivered later via a download link
