Japanese Trditional Wig
- PLAN
- OOKU Plan
Our most popular plan at Hagoromoya is the Ōoku Plan.
This plan includes a Japanese Traditional Wig, and guests can choose between two styles: Bunkin Takashimada or Suihatsu.
This time, our guest selected the Bunkin Takashimada style.
Many of our overseas guests tend to choose Natural Hair Styling (optional, 5,500 yen), so we were very happy that she decided to try a traditional wig.

About Bunkin Takashimada:
Bunkin Takashimada is one of the most iconic traditional Japanese hairstyles, often worn by brides and high-ranking ladies during the Edo period. It has an elegant rounded shape with decorative hair accessories, symbolizing beauty, dignity, and good fortune. Today, it is most commonly seen in traditional weddings and formal ceremonies.

Using traditional Japanese umbrellas or fans makes for beautiful shots, too

Trying the seiza (traditional Japanese formal sitting posture)!
It can be a bit challenging to sit on the floor in kimono, but it’s definitely a shot worth capturing!
