Eiun-in Temple

Hagoromoya offers a lesser‑known but very special option:
an exclusive photoshoot at Eiun‑in Temple, a historic sub‑temple of Konkaikomyo‑ji founded in 1591. Normally closed to the public, it is one of Kyoto’s true hidden gems. 

After the studio session is finished, we’ll head to Eiun-in Temple.
It’s about a 15‑minute taxi ride from here.

Compared to the lively Gion Shirakawa area, Eiun-in feels like another world.
You can enjoy a photoshoot in a serene, quiet atmosphere surrounded by historical architecture.

During restoration in 2000, the temple gained attention when historical letters were discovered behind the old fusuma. These restored sliding doors include beautiful peacock paintings, adding elegance to the quiet interior.
